I am a giant posting whore! but i don’t want to study for the two exams i have this week. Was talking about the matirx w/Ar the other day and came up with a few interesting points
1. In the first movie, agent smith mentioned that the first matirx was a perfect world that people kept trying to wake up from. Do you think our mindz would really reject a perfect world?
In my opinion,Absolutely. How many times in your life have you said something is “too good to be true”…the goal is not in achiveing perfection, but in striving for it
2. The first movie is about the nature of reality…the second movie is about the nature of choice…given Neo’s choice in the film…what would you do. And if Neo is the fifth reincarnation of the One, then wouldn’t the machines already know he is going to choose the door that leads to trinity…I mean after all they had it prepared.
3. And as for the course of both movies…would you take the red pill or the blue pill? If our reality is merely defined by the sum of our sensory inputs, which is what the films suggest…then y fight the matrix?
I could be alittle unclear on my recollections, but both Ari adn I felt we would remain in the matrix, for much the same reasopns cypher did, especially after seeing Zion in the second movie. If you don’t know that what you are seeing is not real, and even if you do, isn’t it better than the alternative…Zion is forced to subsist on gruel, the sky is still scorced, the earthd estroyed, and all in all, things are better in the fake world. And who iz to say the real world is any realer and not just another matirx…Are we men dreaming we are butterflies or butterflies dreaming we are men? So yah
Moral of the Story: Okay that ought to give you some stuff to think about…hey get a dsicussuion going folkz…start using those minds we were all endowed with cause the thrill of life is in the questioning of the unknown

I can’t believe we were thinking about the same thing yesterday!
–What can i say? Matrix’s concept surely makes one examine the world in a macro/microsomic level …occasionally at least.
In my post, I was saying I’d rather live in the Matrix.. so I guess I’d agree with you and your friend and cypher… hahah– I mean, come on..
Goodluck on your finals too.. what annoys me the most is that I have a final from 3-6pm on wednesday. And I have to be on campus at 7:30am in that same day!! … shite. Then I have a Friday final –right on the death knell of spring quarter. … man! I was hoping i’d go out earlier than usual, but oh well —summer vacation is almost here anyway…. whoohooo!!!
