  • I love weekends…So the other night, my bro came home from loyola for the weekend, and I picked up him and my g/f, and we all went out to the fine dining establishment known as Roscoe’s House Chicken and Waffles.

Yes, Chicken and Waffles. Now for all of you wondering, just trust me and try it. There are 5 roscoe’s locations, and all of them are major tourist attractions for those visiting california…The nearest to UCLA students are sunset and gower, and pico and la brea. The proper protocol for newbies to roscoes…

All first timers should order the Carol C Special:

1 Succulent Breast, 1 delicious waffle.

This waffle should have syrup poured completely over every inch, and then the fried chicken should be cut and placed upon the waffle syrup and all, and should then be eaten in one bite.

You are not allowed to say how strange this sounds until you have done it. Only then will you truly understand the Roscoe’s Experience. Trust me on this one…I have been going to roscoe’s for years late at night, and I am hella pale, and I am still alive…Therefore I know what I am talking about

Moral of the Story: Yum…chicken and waffles

  • OOOOOOO!  So THAT’S how you eat Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles.  Damn it.  Oh how ignorant I can be.

  • whoa!! what happened to my previous entry? I was commenting about “bling-bling” being in a dictionary –not xanga’d ….. oh well…

  • Hi … ‘been a while since I xanga’d i can’t believe THAT is in a dictionary.

Anyhow –I SAW the Roscoe’s you were talking about… scary neighborhood, but from your description, the food seems worth it — I ended up watching an indie film somewhere in a stand-up comic club nearby… ‘wanted to try Roscoe’s but there were lots of people. Your puppy’s adorable! School is approaching!! –where can we run and hide?–damn the sky-high tuition fee –let’s make Ahnold wear his T3 costume and extort money from other states like…. Rhode Island..heheh…

  • hey dude – sorry i couldn’t go skydiving. sigh…your picture right there with you all rigged up and ready to leap makes me a little wistful. next time when the cash isn’t so scarce…best wishes josh! hopefully i’ll see you soon, maybe with some alcohol in the premises as well.
