  • Arrrrrgh! Have any of you missed venting Josh? Well good, coz here goes a tiny one.

So, yesterday was the first day of school. Yippee! How exciting. Actually, i didn’t mind coz after a while summer can get boring without something to break it up. This is my 5th year at UCLA, and my first as a commuter student. You will notice I DID NOT say anything about a commuter student with a parking pass!

I present to you two people. We will call them person A and person B. Person A is a graduating senior, a diligent student, commuting 20 miles everyday to class, usually straight from his job, where he works to help his parents pay for his college education.

Person B lives in a fraternity house whose rent includes a parking space on house grounds, has no job, is a second year student, and could not only walk to campus, but could spit out his window and have it land there.

Now…Who do you think UCLA gives parking priviliges to? If you said everyone but Josh, YOU WIN! AND I LOSE! Stupid UCLA.

Then it was on to my very firstest day o classs as a super senior. We begin with Advanced Modern Japanese, 100A…thankfully i understood everything she said, thus alleviating my fear of having forgotten the entire language over the summer. About half the class was full of old friends and faces, including fievel-san, the korean mafia, and the overchieaving punk. Thatz okay, because it is the new faces I have to worry about…they could prove my downfall…unless i can anticipate how to counter them…MWAHAHAHA

    Right.

so from there, on to the Japanese Folklore Class…sounds like it should be an easy A…hopefully. Just mostly on festivals and religions and stuff I already have a pretty good undertanding of…added bonus…same friends in that class as in J100A…we all move through the same circles. Brief stop over at triangle, where I went for a bike ride to the sculpture garden, meditated, and came back. Then food was involved at some point, followed by running…maybe I will be back in shape again.

Okay, so not quite so much a rant…but the parking thing does piss me off. And if that wasn’t enough of an inconvenience, I just found out that somebody may have stolen my identity, or at least my credit card number..,I know this becuase my company called me to ask why i had suddenly decided to spend 1500 of stuff. Now i understand that being me is something many people hope to achieve, but stealing my credit card is not the way to do it. Something bad will happen to you…karma works, my felonious friend….I have seen it happen too often not to believe

Moral of The Story: Thieves Suck. But not as much as UCLA administration and parking services
