  • A tremendous memorial day weekend indeed!

First, off, my foot was finally healed…what happened to my foot you ask? You don’t? Well I’ll tell you anyway. During Capoeira, I sprained it. But that was two weeks ago, and therefore, unimportant now. The important thing is, it didn’t hurt to walk on this weekend

So what did I do? Well, I saw Dave Chappelle, who was hilarious and raised a very good point…What do white people eat? Mexicans eat red beans and rice, blacks love chicken, but there is no food to stereotype white people with. Being a white person, i tried to think of what I eat, but then was told my opinions as to what white people eat are invalid, as I eat like a hippie, another class of person entirely.

    mmm…tasty tasty rabbits.

Anyway, so a glorious night of watching stand-up. And inspirational as I once again have a stand up show coming up on friday. It is always nice to succeed at something, however insignificant others may think it.

Monday, I could have stayed home and roasted animal flesh for a good time, or I could have gone to the beach and contracted skin cancer in an effort to maintain an illusion of good health. However, instead I went to the UCLA Jazz-Reggae Festival for Reggae Day! Woot!

The bands as always were good, and playing capoeira with my peepz was also tremendous. There really is no substitute for good friends, fun, and food. Got me a new necklace…wood beads with red green and yellow interspersed, and tried, but failed to convince caroline to buy or wear a hemp bikini. C’est la vie. Howver, post reggae fest, we were all a little hungry…possibly from the contact high of hundreds of smokers of the wacky tobakky, possibly not -~ so we all went to Natalee Thai on Venice and Robertson for dinner. A fantastic thai resturaunt I cannot stress enough, you will not find better thai food outside of thai town, and possibly not even in it. Then Physics Eric showed us the plasma lab where he works making diabolic world domination schemes, and we called it a night. Or rather I did…domestic and wendy went to a drag show. I would have gone, but i was tired and after having performed in rocky, I am used to seeing people in drag and had no desire to pay for it. However, if an amusing show of that persuasion is what you are looking for, allow me to suggest the Queen Mary(not the boat)

    hey there sailors

As I like to remain a man of some mystery, I will not describe anything of my association with the place or how I first learned of it. If you really want to know, some hardcore googling will give you the answers you seek

And now, I must return to studying for my Japanese final, which is tomorrow

    Kusei!

bonus points for anyone who can translate the above japanese word…except ari, who told it to me.
