Happy New Year (or for my nihonjin tomodachi’s, shiawase na oshogatsu)
So as my good computer is on the fritz for some reason (i.e. wireless connection not working), I am posting from my ghetto fabolous 6 yr old toshiba satellite.
Yes, loyal followers, neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night shall keep me from posting, or going postal

New Years weekend was fun. Saw House of Flying Daggers. Best. Movie. Ever.
Things I thought watching house of flying daggers
1.Why cant my life be like this
2. Damn, I need to find me an asian g/f who knows martial arts
3. Can all chinese people fly?
4.So many pretty colors…and so much beautiful violence
5. Uh-Oh, this movie is so amazing i am going to need to change my pants at the end of it
6.Yep, the pants will definetly need a changing
7.My brother and I need to learn swordfighting so if a woman ever comes between us, we can settle it half and cool as these people
8. Damn, that Jin is one suave mother fornicator
So yes, go see house of flying daggers
Also went out to karaoke with ari, lisa, jen, and brian…pics to be posted later
Then New Years, had a small shindig with mani, simon, steph, jenn, frank, apryl and larissa, and of course, the bro. Zoolander was watched, drinks were had, Halo2 was played, a good time was had by all…until 4am.
And so, for a new year, new goals must be made…or i guess re-affirmed. I am kinda ambivalent about new years resolutions because I am of the opinion that you should feel obligated to wait for a specific day to effect a change in your life. If you decide something needs to happen, you should start once the decision is made. Nonetheless, as New Years is traditionally a time to make resolutions, here are the ones which I have pretty much made every new year, with one or two others thrown in in no particular order
1.Become a better person (ego aside, folks, there is always room for improvement)
2.Make someone’s day…as often as possible
3.Become a doctor
4.Learn something new every day
5.Appreciate the common, along with the spectacular
6.Keep in touch with old friends and new
7.Find enlightenment
8.Get my freakin IPOD…c’mon xangaland, little help here…
9.Make myself better stronger and faster
10.Be dependable, but never predictable
So it may seem like a lot of things to do in a year, but these are more life goals, and change along with my life.
A tad maudlin? maybe. But remember folks, just because I write to entertain most of the time, I am Not your MOnkey
But if I was, I would be a spider monkey
