• Hello again internet land. Glad you all like my new profile pic. And by all, i mean the Apryl and Steffie, who commented almost as soon as i changed it.

  
  

  It is one of several headshots i took to provide to a comedy club where I am a regualr performer (at least when I am back in LA)

  
  

  Things I learned over winter break:

  
  

  I have completely lost the ability to have an intelligent conversation. Oftentimes the only conversational staples I could fall back on when talking to non med school friends were how much med school has changed me, and the weather. Incidentally it has been snowing since tuesday…so it may be a snow day tomorrow.

  
  

  No school! you know what that means!!!???

  
  

  Yep, it means I have ALL DAY to study. Whippee!

  
  

  I also learned that while my science and learning skills are improving, my ability to speak english is rapidly deteriorating. I cant tell you how many times my brother had to correct me that the correct past tense is “lit” not “lighted”, mostly because i am still not sure, and have to take his word for it. However, i have found i am not the only student who has had this speaking problem and so I feel better.

  the Superman movie rumour. Still not totally resolved, still looking more likely by the minute, with massive impications all over the place, it had to be Rumour Of The Year.

  
  

  
  

  That Bryan Singer wanted to cast an actor who was in the closet, and who would declare themselves to be gay in the lead up to, or during the release of the film. So that it would have a meta-textual element, over secret identities, and also give young gay individuals a positive role model in their lives. And presumably, not make stereotypical remarks about men dressed in tight colourful leotards.
