  • Fright Fest

With halloween rapidly approaching, I figured it would be a good time to share some SCARY stories.

About a week ago, one of the residents I work with was in speaking with a patient, let's call him mr doe. Mr Doewas in for a regular checkup, laughing, joking, and all in all perfectly healthy. My resident left the room to go write a prescription refill for mr doe, and answered a page while she was doing it. She then returned to the room to give mr Doe his scrip...

    ...where he was dead.

In the 10 minutes when the resident was out of the room, Mr. Doe suffered a pulmonary embolus (a mobile blood clot) that killed him instantly, leaving behind nothing but a warm corpse and a surprised resident.

There was nothing that could have been done even had she been there, and the end result would have been the same. Creepy, no?

On a totally unrelated note, what is everyone going to be for halloween? and anyone have any suggestions for me? right now i am thinking Dr. Acula  (get it? BWAHAHAHAHAHA)

  • Why is scrubs so awesome?

  • Since nursing's delayed. I get to be a nurse for Halloween!....a female bubble-headed nurse from Silent Hill wielding an iron pipe(and maybe scalpel). Yeah, you've no idea how hard it is to find white heel-less pumps in size 8 at Goodwill.

Heard 'bout the hospitalizations from the Chicago marathon. Hope you weren't one of em. Peace out amigo!

  • OMG that's terrible!  Poor Mr. Doe...

Dr. Acula, ay?  I know where you got that one ;-D

  • I'm thinking Sonny Crocket from Miami Vice...

Or maybe you can go as one of your Miis. Yeah...

  • I AM DOING WELL! thanks for stopping by!

I always read your writings. VERY INTERESTING!!! =) Congratulations on all your accomplishments and of course, many more to come!

I live near San Francisco now. Going to school. Staying out of trouble. I'm old now, HAHA, so I don't party like that anymore. But I do attend the big events on occasion, I just attended Love Parade here in San Francisco. People from all over the world. Based on an event that is held in Europe. It was pretty amazing! If you ever come out to Northern California, let me know! =)

  • wow... that story IS creepy. Uhm, at least he didn't have too far to go to get to the morgue, right? and A+ for ridiculousness on that clip.

  • I'm thinking about being a cop?  we shall see.  I was a vampire last year.
