  • Oh Balls

December is a SLOW month for surgery service. Which if you think about it, kinda makes sense. I mean, who wants to have surgery during the holidays. You put that off until the new year. Which makes your surgeon very sad and bored. except when he gets emergencies, like testicular torsion.

Golly gee, what is testicular torsion?

Basically a twisted spermatic cord. It was a difficult surgery to watch, because, like all men, I can empathize with and easily imagine the physical pain involved when I see someone get kicked squaw in the nets. This would be much much worse.

What you dont see below the camera is the death grip someone clearly has on his testicles

s’all for now. back to studying

  • i remember seeing a case like that…ouch indeed.

not sure yet about specialties but i’ve pretty much ruled out anything surgery related at this point. I’m at U of I. You?

  • oww…and i’m not even a guy.

actually, dec is a busy month for us.  people use their vacation time to recuperate. works well. they just prop their foot/ankle up, sit around and eat all day.

oh wait.  they do that year round. ha.
