Our generation will be the first to grow old having grown up with
videogames and the internet. This will have a profound impact - the
elderly of the future will be unlike the elderly of today. Able to
entertain themselves easily, OK with having limited physical mobility.
They will fear losing their eyesight, and carpal tunnel, and dementia,
but not bone weakness. Poor circulation, maybe. If and when technology
passes them by, they can stay in their rooms with the antiquated MMOs
of yore. What happens when the gamer who forgets they have a
family turns into an old person who's family forgets they exist? Think
of it - an entire generation of the living dead, acting out ever more
realistic achievement simulators, wishing they had done something
useful while they still could. Or not.On an unrelated note, i am beginning to develop doctor handwriting. This is because I have come to recognize that the letters J, g, S, s and the number 5 all look exactly the same when i write them. This is because with the amount of paperwork i have to do, i scribble a lot. I think this is how cursive handwriting was invented. Doctors wanted an excuse for writing the way they do, or at least, justification
On Psych rotation for 6 weeks. Inpatient service at the veterans hospital. Will keep everyone updated. wishing you all a pleasant year, week, day, hour, whatever

It's a wonder those pharmacist can read your darn writing lol.... my partner complains about it all the time so then I asked him, "how do you know which doc it is?" He replied, "I don't. I look up the hospital or clinic and choose a doctor from their list." 8-P
