Demon Poop
Taken from a friend, because it was important that you all be able to share in this story
"I work in medical billing, mainly for laboratories so think blood work/urine samples etc.
As a little background there is a test called 'Stool occult blood' which is when a stool sample is checked for blood traces. The patient who called in had this test done. The following ensues.
Patient: I didn't have this lab test done.
Me: OK, let me verify your information, please. (Verify DOB, Prim care phys, etc) Well ma'am all of this information is accurate, they do have you listed as the patient.
Patient: This test could not have been for me.
Me: Well why do you feel that is the case?
Patient: I have never had any dealings with the occult. I am a devout Christian and I find it insulting that you even insinuate I have dealings with the occult.
Me: ...We...I...No ma'am. We're not saying you're a member of the occult. That is just the name of the test.
Patient: Well it's very misleading and I'm sure other Christians do not appreciate being billed this way.Cut to me apologizing though honestly I was too amazed at this woman to be sincere about it. I understand that not everyone is medically trained but REALLY? Even if this test had ANYTHING to do with the occult (lulz) what would we be looking for in poop that would link someone to the occult? "Sorry ma'am, we found eye of newt in your stool. We know you're a devil worshipper."

An inefficient revenue cycle management and medical billing workflow can cost the average hospital millions in lost revenues. This is why having an electronic medical billing solution with an optimized workflow is vital in order to keep a healthcare business in operation.

I wouldn't consider that blasphemy, unless she knows not the synoyms for occult...
Great story...occult stool blood, it never would have occurred to me to think of it in spiritual terms.
