  • Interlude

I'm still here...I have been scrolling through all my backlogs in an attempt to pull out my favorite and best posts from med school, and a few observations I have made while doing it...

    1) I have changed my writing style a LOT. From improper internet grammar and links to nothing but wacky porn and whine-fests about my love life, to the everpresent webcomics and finally the medical related posts I have today. The evolution of one's writing I feel is an interesting thing to see.

    2) It wasnt until I switched my writing style to the above that I began to get subscribers and commenters on a regular basis

    3) Some of you have been following me for a LONG time, especially considering how many of you didnt know me outside of xanga. Grrsh, did you realize we have known each other for almost 5 years? It crazy to see the rise and occasionally fall of online friendships reading back through comics

Anyway, the monjo link post will be up soon, and then I can get back to writing original material. Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone and thanks for still reading

  • Goodness!  Has it really been 5 years?!  I was looking through some entries from your Med School in review post, and I'm pretty sure I've read all of them.  Awesome.  Here's to my favorite medical blogger!

  • I'm glad that I kept my thoughts to a journal for years before unleashing myself upon the word--frankly, it was AWFUL. Went through the other day, and I was so glad I could burn em.

But yes, I guess it's a part of the whole 'growing up' thing. Though I've been had--I was told it was a cool, snazzy experience with free rides and candy. Oh well...:p

  • This is why, in part, I finally started blogging: to have a place to publically record my thoughts; to get feedback on said thoughts; and to be able to look back and see where I am compared to where I was. There has been more than once that this has proved insightful to me.

  • yeah, i'd like to hear some good medical school stories!
